etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2017 Ram 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2017 Ram 1500. Now if your Ram didn't come with a factory hitch, a lot of times there's gonna be a factory bumper beam that allows you to bolt up a hitch, that's just this small section here. And that's gonna utilize the bumper pole mount and it makes for a really nice hitch here. It sits perfectly well on the bumper, it just slightly extends from it, and it's a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. So when it comes to any accessories, whether it be bike racks, ball mounts, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have tons of options available. Now all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look and installing the TorkLift Super Hitch Magnum Class Five Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Ram 3500. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Ram, and this one is definitely a little bit different looking than a typical hitch. Overall, it's a little bit bigger, and that's because it is extremely heavy duty. But probably one of the first things that you notice is the dual hitch receiver design, and that's kind of for a few different reasons. So on the bottom, you have a two inch, and on top, you have a two and 1/2, which is really nice. So depending on if you already had a two and 1/2 inch ball mount, you can use that. more

Draw-Tite Class V Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Ram 1500- Video

So, this is what the hitch is gonna look like installed and it sits pretty nice. In fact, that it has a hidden cross tube, for being such a heavy duty hitch, it really looks nice just having just the receiver and hanging out and really, the weight specs do a lot of talking for it. This is a very heavy duty class five as it is a two inch by two inch, your gross trailer weight rating is quite a bit. In fact, it's gonna come in at 15,000 pounds. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Ram 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Curt class three trailer hitch receiver on a 2022 Ram 1500. Now this is gonna be a great addition to your truck, if you do have the factory reinforcement bar and it's gonna be a lot easier than a full hitch install. And this is gonna give you a decent amount of towing capacity as well as tongue weight. In fact, this one comes in at 6,000 pounds of gross trailer weight rating which is gonna be the weight of the trailer plus the accessories loaded up. Now your tongue weight is gonna be 600 pounds and that's gonna be the downward pressure that's put on the receiver tube opening. more

Hey everyone, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the etrailer trailer hitch receiver here on a 2021 Ram 1500 Classic. So, this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our vehicle here. Now, all etrailer hitches have a matte black powder-coated finish, which I like a little bit better than some of the other options which are more shinier, they stand out more. The matte finish, in my opinion, blends in better with the vehicle. And it also does a great job of help hiding any of those nicks and scratches. So, adding a trailer hitch to your Ram 1500, it's gonna be an excellent option, because this is a truck after all, and it needs a trailer hitch. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver here on a 2017 Ram ProMaster 2500. So, this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our van here. Now, we can see, everything is gonna have a nice black powder-coated finish that's gonna help it, protect it, from rust and corrosion, being that it is on the underside of the vehicle and subjected to the elements, that's also gonna help it blend in better with the underbody paneling on our van here for a more clean, hidden-installed look. So, adding a trailer hitch to your ProMaster is a great idea because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now, we can obviously use the trailer hitch for towing. But if you needed to free up some space inside the vehicle, even though we do have quite a bit, if you wanted to store some things outside, such as some gas cans that you don't necessarily want inside the van, or if you wanted to hit the trails, you could easily attach either a bike rack or a hitch-mounted cargo carrier/ box. more

It's going to have a really clean, almost factory appearance, because all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out right here at the back of the bumper.Now, since it is a class III, it's going to give us that two-inch-by-two-inch receiver tube opening, and they have the widest variety of options when it comes to accessories. Obviously, we're going to be able to put in a ball, so we can tow a trailer. But also if we use our truck for working, we're going to be able to put in a bed extender and carry some really elongated gear, or if we just want to hit the trails with some friends, we could put a bike rack in there. The options really are very, very wide, and we can do a lot when we have a hitch on the back of our truck.But regardless of what kind of accessory you're going to be using, they're all going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. The crosstube is going to sit right below the bumper, but it sits back a little bit so we're not going to see it as much, and the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. Now, it is a Class IV but it's still going to give us that 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, so we're going to have a really wide variety of options when it comes to accessories.Obviously, we could put a ball mount in there, tow a trailer, but we can also hit the trails, put a bike rack in there, take some bikes with us. Make some room inside the bed and cabinet of our truck, put a cargo carrier back there, or maybe we need to carry a lot of elongated gear like drywall, plywood or anything like that. We can put a bed extender in there. But regardless of what we're going to be using it for or what accessory we mount up, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pinhole here on the side. more

Best 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to take a look at the best hitch options for your 2019 Ram 1500. Here we have your top four hitches for your Ram 1500. Here we're going to have etrailer's class three hitch, this one over here. We're going to have Curt class three hitch, here on a rack on the bottom. We're going to have Draw-Tite's class five, here on the top we're going to have Curt class five. As far as ease of installation, I'm going to have to give that to the two class three hitches, as far as weight capacity give that to the Curt, as far as durability, I'm going to have to give that to etrailer's class three hitch and the Curt because it's going to have a triple carbide black powder coat finish.As far as my personal opinion, I don't do a whole lot of heavy hauling so I would go with the etrailer class three, because of the durability of the finish. more

It's going to be completely hidden. The only thing you're going to see is a receiver tube. The hitch is going to sit up nice and tight against the bottom of our bumper, so we're not really going to have to worry about sacrificing any of our trucks ground clearance, and the end of the receiver tube is going to sit about flush with the edge of our bumper. So it's going to work really well if you're having to plan on using it for some accessories like a cargo carrier or a bike rack. more

As you can see, pretty much the whole hitch is exposed, but it does blend in nicely with the contour lines of the Ram. Now, one thing I really like about it, is how flush it sits with the bumper. That's going to allow us to pretty much any hitch mounted accessories without any interference. It's also nice because you won't have to worry about busting your leg on it when you're walking around the bed of your truck.This is a Class 3 hitch, so it's going to have that 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening and a thick, reinforced collar for extra support. more

Today on our 2019 Ram ProMaster 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class III custom fit trailer hitch receiver.Here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. The cross tube's going to be hidden behind the bumper, and all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. As you can see, our hitch is going to stick out just past our bumper, but not enough to where it's going to cause a hazard when we're walking behind it. It is a class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and have a really wide variety of options when it comes to accessories.Now, the way we're gonna mount any of those accessories is to the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard five ace pin and clip. Now, these aren't included with the kit, but you can pick them up here etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure.Now, if you do plan on doing some towing, our safety chain loops are going to be a plate style, but they're going to be in the vertical position, which means we're not going to have to worry about interference from our hitch pin or locking device, and you can see that we have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off.As far as the weight capacity goes, our hitch is going to have a 500 pound tongue weight, which is the maximum downward force of the receiver tube, along with a 5,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. more

Today on our 2019 Ram ProMaster 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver.So here is what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube's going to be hidden behind the bumper and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out.Now, our receiver tube is going to stick out just a little bit past the bumper but not so much that we're going to have to really worry about it unless we're right up against the bumper walking by.Now this is a class three hitch which means it's going to give us a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and they have a lot of different variety of accessories that are going to be available.The way we're going to mount any of those accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. Our hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8th's pin and clip. Now these aren't included, but you can pick them up here at eTrailer.com.Now the smaller hole is towards the opening on the receiver tube, that's going to be exclusively for the J-Pin Stabilization Device. Now the way this is going to work, the long threaded section will go into our hitch pin area and then this hook is going to come into that secondary hole and it's going to apply pressure to our accessory. We'll tighten it up using the included nut and it will keep all that rattle and play and noise out of our accessory when we're driving down the road. more

Today on our 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, we're going to be taking a look at I'm showing you how to install the Curt Class Five Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver. Here is what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed, the cross tube is going to sit right below the bumper, and the receiver tube is going to be nice and flush with it. Our hitch is a class five hitch, but it's still going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so we'll have a really wide variety of options for accessories that we're can mount up. The way that we're going to mount many of our accessories is that the hitch is going to hold here on the side. It's going to accept a standard five inaudible 00:00:35 pen and clip. These are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure.As far as the safe chain connection points go, it's going to be a plate style welded at the bottom of the cross tube and the receiver tube, and as you can see, we'll have plenty of room to get most sized hooks on or off. more

Tonight on our 2019 RAM 1500 Classic, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the etrailer.com class III trailer hitch receiver. Now that our RAM has a hitch, we're going to be able to pull things like boats, trailers, jet skis; whatever you might have. Or, you can even use it for things like bike racks or cargo carriers. As you can see, it's nice and compact. It has a triple powder coated carbide matte black finish, and that's going to help prevent rust and corrosion as well as protect it from any scuffs, scratches, things of that nature. What sets this hitch apart from many of the others is how compact it is. more

TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ram 3500- Video
Today on our 2018 Ram 3500, we're going to be installing Torklift's, class five, two inch, superhitch, original trailer hitch receiver. It's a class five, two inch by two inch receiver, and it's going to work in conjunction with your factory hitch just below it, so you can use to accessories. You going to haul a trailer and put a bike rack in one, or you could put a cargo carrier in one with the bike rack, and it works especially well with the torklift super trust, so if you have a camper on the back of your RV but you still want to pull something, you'll need to extend it out in order to make that connection.The super trust is going to provide that extension for you, and give you all the support you need to haul your trailer. It uses a five eighths inch, hitch pinning clip. Two pins come included with the hitch, as well as a sleeve, to convert your factory hitch into a two inch receiver. Since our new hitch uses the existing safety chain loops, there are some provided on the new hitch, and there's a nice large opening so it should accommodate most safety chains.It features a 1700 pound tongue weight, that's the force going down on top of the receiver. more
